CBDistillery Review
Iโm excited to be writing this CBDistillery review!
CBDistillery is one of the more known companies in the online CBD market. Chances are you may have come across their brand while searching for CBD products.
I personally didnโt have to search far to hear of CBDistillery and was impressed at first glance of their products.
Letโs see how well they hold up to my high expectations in this CBDistillery review.
About CBDistillery
CBDistillery is a CBD company that was founded in Colorado. All of their products come from non-GMO, pesticide-free hemp.
One thing I look for when doing CBD reviews is what kind of extraction method is used by the company. CBDistillery uses the favorable CO2 extraction method, which is excellent because this method does not leave behind any harmful solvents.
Another thing I look for is third-party lab testing. CBDistillery gets a check on this one too; they offer third-party lab testing on all of their CBD products – conducted by ProVerde Laboratories.
This is good to have because it validates the claims made by the CBD companies. Being that there are a lot of bad products on the market, you want to see some proof of the claims made.
On to the next part of the CBDistillery review.
CBDistillery Products
CBDistillery does not disappoint in this area. I was amazed upon entering their website at the assortment of CBD products they have to offer. They have everything to suit your CBD needs and a great variety of different ways to take CBD.
Here is a list of some of their products:
- CBD gummies
- CBD oil
- CBD isolate
- CBD capsules
- CBD topicals
- CBD vape
- CBD pet products
- CBD wax
- CBD suppositories
I told you they have a lot, take your pick.
My CBDistillery Review
Here are the CBDistillery products I tried, which I will be reviewing:
- 1000mg CBDrop full spectrum CBD oil (15 ml)
- 1000mg CBDrop zero THC CBD oil (15 ml)
- CBDol CBD topical cream
- 30mg Full Spectrum CBD Infused Softgels, 30 Count
CBDrop full spectrum
The first CBDistillery product I tried was the CBDrop full spectrum CBD oil. I took the oil late in the day. Fortunately and unfortunately, I was severely stressed out that day when my CBD arrived.
I had a lot on my plate and there was one incident after another. It was an excellent day to test CBD oil.
I quickly took the recommended 3-4 drops under the tongue. The very first thing I noticed was the taste.
Their oils are unflavored. It tasted just like hemp; I really donโt mind the taste, and actually prefer it because you could almost taste the potency. And believe me, it tastes potent! The oil also had a nice viscosity to it.
What effects did I notice?
It was great! I donโt know how else to describe it, but when I am stressed, I feel a cloud-like tension in my head – almost like a mental fog.
I was very surprised. 10 Minutes after taking CBDistilleryโs oil, the mental congestion started clearing up.
Picture having congested sinuses from the flu, that begin to clear up, and you can breathe again. That is how my mind felt.
Now for sleep, I personally didnโt notice much of a change, I had an โokayโ night of sleep.
Upon taking the oil for a few more days, I feel that the full spectrum oil worked better in the day for me, it kept my mind focused and energized.
I did give the oil to some family members and they had a great night sleep with it, so it should be noted that everyone reacts a little differently.
By the way, when taking full spectrum CBD oils, there is a very small chance that you might get a false positive on a drug test.
If this is a concern, then you should try a zero THC CBD oil. Full spectrum typically works better, but zero THC CBD isolates will not show up on a drug test.
This brings me to the next product, the zero THC CBD oil.
Best For:
Zero THC CBDrop CBD Oil
The directions were the same for CBDistilleryโs zero THC CBD oil. Take 3-4 drops under the tongue. The flavor yet again had a hemp-like taste, except it was a little faint on this one. Overall I didnโt mind the taste; I thought it tasted good.
The Zero THC CBD oil lived up to its expectation. It reduced my anxiety and kept me calm.
As for sleep, for me at least, it seemed like the zero THC CBD oil worked better than the full spectrum. I fall asleep right away and have some pretty good sleep. It is highly effective.
I am going to continue to use it for my nightly routine to unwind and relax.
I made an accidental discovery when taking the oil.
I was starving and had gone to a restaurant. As soon as the food came I couldnโt wait. Not realizing the temperature of the food, I severely burnt my tongue.
That was just great I thought to myself, another nuisance to deal with. But then I remembered that CBD is anti-inflammatory. So I said to myself, โlet me put some oil on my tongue and see what happensโ.
You have no idea how well this worked! Half an hour later the pain subsided and it didnโt come back. It completely took the burn away!
Overall the no THC CBD oil worked on par in comparison with the full spectrum oil.
* If you donโt like the taste of flavorless CBD oils, I made some drink recipes that taste great which you could add CBD oil to, here.
On to the next product of this CBD distillery review.
Best For:
CBDol Topical Cream
The CBDol topical cream is designed to put on areas with aches and pains.
Upon opening the jar, the smell is the first thing that comes to mind. It smells minty, not overly powerful nor artificial. After looking at the ingredients, you see that there is nothing artificial in there: a lot of really good herbs for pain, and CBD of course!
This product was easy to test, I had a lot of willing subjects with aches that needed treating, myself included.
I had done a lot that day and my knees were aching. It was time to give the CBD cream a try. Simply enough, you dab your fingers in the cream and apply to the affected area.
The cream had a vaseline-like texture, but a little thinner and it gets a little sticky.
It will stain your clothes a little if you use too much, but it does come off in the wash.
You notice the effects within a few minutes. My aches melted away. I had my doubts with topical creams, but this worked rather well.
Iโm still young, so I had to try it on someone older with more pains.
My mother.
My mother has a knot on her hip that sometimes keeps her up at night from the pain. She was ecstatic to try the cream. She rubbed some on the area for a couple of minutes.
I asked her in the morning how it worked. She was delighted that the pain had gone away when she lay on her side. Wow! I guess it works pretty good.
The CBDol cream is great to have in your medicine pantry for typical aches and pains. I recommend it.
Time for the last product in this review.
Best For:
Full Spectrum Softgels
Full spectrum soft gels are a great way to take CBD. They are convenient and can be taken anywhere.
Some people find them more favorable than CBD oil tinctures, for the reasons I just mentioned.Plus, the right dosage is already measured.
These soft gels worked great for me. They work exactly the same as the full spectrum CBD oil tincture.
They do seem to take a little longer to work though (approximately 15 minutes), as the capsules need to be dissolved. But when they work, they work!
The effects were more apparent in my grandmother than in me.
I have a 94 year old grandmother who suffers from many ailments. This includes:
- Hypertension
- Arterial disease
- Severe kyphosis
- Insomnia
- Aches and pains related to arthritis
- Loss of appetite
I started giving her one soft gel in the morning and one at night. First thing I noticed, was that she started asking for food during the day; she doesnโt do that often!
The next thing I noticed was that it brought down her high blood pressure and headaches.
The third thing was that she slept through the night. And overall her aches and pains were reduced.
The effects were phenomenal in her. It was something we didnโt expect.
By the way, pricing on all the above-mentioned products is quite decent in comparison to other CBD oils of the same caliber.

CBDistillery Review Conclusion
What else can I say about CBDistillery, their products work great! You could tell that they put time and effort into their products to deliver super clean, highly potent cannabis. I had a pleasant experience with all their products that I tried.
And with so many different products to choose from, I will absolutely be trying more in the near future. (You can find their products here).
The future looks bright for this company, time to wear some CBDistillery shades.
CBDistillery gets my and Honest CBD manโs seal of approval in this review.
Hope this CBDistillery review was helpful.
Editorโs Note: This post was originally published in October 2018 and has been revamped for accuracy.
I’ve been avidly using CBD to deal with my anxiety, and have been fortunate to do so successfully. I started this blog to share my experience and knowledge with as many people as possible.
I have been using a supplement from a wellness center. Hemp Oil seeds 375 mg and total CBD 30 mg. I have had crohns and needing it for inflammation, what do you suggest
A few days ago I bought Hemp Bombs 15mg capsules and you know, they were fine and I have no complaints. Last night I bought CBDistillery capsules and I’ll never buy another brand again. These capsules not only have more CBD per capsule — 30 mgs — but they cost less, at least where I bought mine. The review mentioned that CBDistillery is “clean” and even though that’s hard to really quantify … it’s true. I took a couple of capsules at 5 this morning and went on a 6-mile walk. Came back and popped another at 7:30. It’s now 8:30 and I’m feeling super fucking chill and relaxed and the normal aches and pains I have in my knees and ankles and toes from all the cardio I do — like this morning’s 6.5-mile walk — have dissipated. I love CBDistillery.
Hi would you recommend the zero THC CBD oil or the full spectrum one from CBDistillery?
Hi Enya,
Full spectrum oils tend to work better as they contain a wide variety of cannabinoids. If drug testing is a concern I would stick to the isolate, because isolate is strictly CBD, no trace amounts of THC. Hope this helps
So confused about how many milligrams and drops a day to use needed for anxiety
Hi Rick,
Dosing does get a little confusing. It is very subjective and depends on a few factors like weight, age and what you are looking to treat.
Most advise starting with a low dose and adding more drops if needed until you achieve the right amount for you.
For my anxiety personally, I started with a 500mg bottle (500mg is how much CBD is in the entire bottle) and took about 10-15 drops under the tongue.
If you buy CBD in pill form the dose is already measured out and a typical dose is about 25mg a pill.
Most CBD companies will tell you on the label how many milligrams of CBD a dropper contains. Experiment with different doses until one works best for you.
Hope this helps
