PureKana CBD Review
In this review, I will cover the first brand of CBD oil I tried to treat my extreme anxiety (PureKana CBD oil).
I had done significant research on PureKana CBD before making my purchase because I wanted to be certain I was getting high-quality CBD my first time.
Let’s get down to my Purekana CBD oil review and see whether it was as good as I was hoping it to be or not.
As with all my reviews, I’ll give some info about the company first.
Background Info on PureKana
Besides the catchy name, PureKana has a lot to offer.
Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, PureKana harvests their hemp from Kentucky (which is organically grown). PureKana offers hemp CBD products which are GMO-free and don’t contain any pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers.
They also use the solvent-free CO2 extraction method, a more costly extract method. It is the most sought-after method. As the name implies, it doesn’t leave any harmful solvents behind in the process.
PureKana also provides third-party lab testing for their oils by ProVerde Laboratories (which you can see here). This verifies the validity to their CBD claims. Most people look for this when purchasing CBD oil as it gives a sense of trust when buying, being that there are so many bad products out there.
PureKana’s operation looks pretty clean from the information given and sounds like a good option, let’s get on with the rest of the PureKana review.
PureKana’s CBD Products
PureKana sells CBD in different forms (plus they have one interesting product).
These include:
- CBD capsules & Pills
- CBD gummies
- CBD oils
- CBD for pets
- CBD topicals
And the interesting one
- CBD infused toothpicks (I haven’t seen this one anywhere else)
I’m going to go a little into depth with their CBD oils in this review because this is their most popular product, and their oil is what I have tried.
PureKana CBD Oil
All of PureKana’s CBD oil is full spectrum CBD oil containing less than .02% THC.
Full spectrum CBD oil contains trace but legal amounts of THC. You should not get a false positive on a drug test with full spectrum oil, but there is a small chance that you might (just like I did).
Full spectrum CBD oil generally works better than CBD isolate (CBD oil which only contains CBD, nothing else).
PureKana’s CBD oil comes in three flavors, mint, vanilla and natural. All their oils come in 30ml sizes with three options for strength:
- 300mg
- 600mg
- 1000mg
Their CBD oil ingredients are simple and healthy: Hemp extract and MCT oil for the natural CBD variety. Added to the ingredient list is natural flavoring for the flavored oils.
How to Take PureKana CBD Oil
Directions on taking their CBD oil is on the back of their bottle.
Here’s what their website recommends:
For our dietary supplements, we can only recommend them for internal consumption. If you don’t like the flavor of the oil supplements, you can mix them with something sweet like apple sauce or honey to cut through the flavor. Oils are to be taken sublingually and held under your tongue for 60-90 seconds before being swallowed. -PureKana
Ok, with all that said; here’s my review of PureKana CBD oil:
My PureKana CBD Oil Review
As mentioned earlier, before taking CBD, I was going through a period of extreme anxiety. Not knowing what to do about it, and after trying everything else, I stumbled upon CBD oil.
After doing my research of all the brands I heard about, I decided on Pure Kana CBD oil.
I placed my order, and my anticipation along with the anxiety was killing me.
They shipped it out pretty quickly and it arrived within a few days. Needing some relief, I tore open the package, read the instructions and poured 15 drops of my 600mg mint CBD bottle under my tongue.
The first thing I noticed was the flavor, having never trying cannabis in my life, I was worried about the taste – but it tasted great. The mint tasted like a pleasant peppermint. I was skeptical that anything would happen, which brings me to my next point: the effects.
PureKana CBD Effects
Thinking nothing was going to happen from the oil – but at the same time being kind of scared since I had never tried a hemp product prior to this – I was shocked.
Prior to taking the oil I had extreme brain fog from the anxiety, but after about 20 minutes, that fog had dissipated and was alleviated greatly.
I was 99% myself again for the first time in a while. Much of the depression and anxiety was lifted. It had reduced my anxiety tremendously. It by no means took away the triggering anxious thoughts I was having, but it made the effects less severe.
I was so ecstatic that something finally worked! Two other wonderful things happened that night:
I gained my appetite back after my anxiety had caused me to not want to eat and I slept great for the first time in a while. I had been suffering from severe insomnia.
Another benefit, which took me about a week to notice, was that my chronic headaches had gone away.
After taking CBD daily I have gone down from 2-3 headaches a week to now maybe only a couple a month, and I have to be doing something really stressful now in order to get a headache.
Overall, I spent a lot of time with Purekana’s CBD oil and every time I took it, it was consistent. To me, Purekana’s anti-anxiety effects were prominent.
It also worked well for insomnia, nausea and chronic headaches.
I forgot to mention that their price, while it seems a little high, is reasonable considering the type of high-quality oil they sell.
The price is pretty average in comparison with other CBD brands.

With all that mentioned, I can confidently say that you cannot go wrong when buying PureKana CBD oil.
It worked great for me and its effects were very noticeable. Their CBD oil holds up to other brands I have tried and is one of my favorite brands of CBD.

I’ve been avidly using CBD to deal with my anxiety, and have been fortunate to do so successfully. I started this blog to share my experience and knowledge with as many people as possible.
Does anyone know how I can get this as I live in Canada. There website states they don’t ship.
First two orders went without a hitch. Oil was good. My third order seemed to go through just as problem-free as the first two. After 10 days waiting for delivery, I went onto the website to track the package. Found that the order had never gone through. It said “payment pending.” Called customer service. They said my credit card had been declined twice to their automated system. I said “Why was I never notified? I’ve been waiting for shipment.” No explanation. The customer service rep insisted I call my credit card company, even though I said it’s not even possible it was declined. Credit card company (Bank of America) verified they never declined any transaction ever, and had never received a payment request from Pure Kana other than the previous two orders. Proof positive Pure Kana’s system is faulty. Called customer service again. The rep insisted Pure Kana bears no responsibility for its error and showed no interest in making it right. His “helpful” advice was just to try ordering again. I’m supposed to trust that it will work this time, even though their software not only made the insulting error of rejecting my credit card without actually having contacted my credit card company, but also neglected to inform me of any problem (I checked — there was no message in my spam folder, either). That’s a deal-breaker for me, as it should be for anyone. A company with a decent business model owns up to its mistakes and tries to compensate for the inconvenience, and its customer support reps avoid insulting customers who have legitimate complaints.
I’ve taken Pure Kana CBD Oil for about 8 months with positive effects for chronic pain related to connective tissue disease. This last month I ordered the 1000mg dose. Using one dose a day was beneficial, but on required testing by my pain management physician , my drug test came back POSITIVE for THC in an amount not conducive to just using CBD! Now I’m on probation and could possible loss my pain management physician!

I bought PureKana prior to seeing poor reviews. I had no problem with ordering or shipping. I’m taking unflavored oil 300.
This zonked me out at night. Sleepy within 15 minutes, back to sleep if I wake up to shuffle to the bathroom. Took it couple times during the day for sudden anxiety to avoid taking meds and it worked.
Then I read poor reviews, so switched to another company with an A BBB waiting.
Well, I may as well have been taking olive oil under my tongue.
Went back to PureKana. No problem ordering or receiving shipment. Back to zonking out at night and falling back to sleep if I wake to to shuffle to the bathroom.
PureKana it is for me.
I ordered the product, it was shipped within 3 days, my charge was issued the day I purchased it. I work in pharmacy and I might have it tested for the ingredients before taking .

Perhaps consider increasing your dosage amount as 300 mg is a rather low dose. I find I need about 1000 mg or slightly more to feel the affects or pain relief. Just my 2 cents worth.
Good product, but their customer service is just shy of non-existent! My credit card posted payment almost one month ago, but I have not received product. Despite many calls and emails, (including proof of payment), still no resolution. As it currently stands, their company has my money and I have no product. Disappointing!

Cynthia – Same for me! My credit card has been charged but no product. I have left several phone messages and emails. I have not received a call and it has been six weeks. And I keep getting the same emails saying they are backordered and they keep changing the date as to when they expect to have their inventory up to date. I have requested a refund but no response. I had to file a dispute.

Do you receive any compensation for recommending Purekana?
No. We currently do not. Purekana was the first CBD brand I ever tried after much research of CBD oil. They seemed like a good oil for the price. After going through some severe anxiety, I was pretty surprised at how well their oil worked.

As for the mg needed for anxiety, dosing is subjective to each person; It is recommended to start with the lowest amount and work your way up to a milligram that works best for you. I personally do well at around 25mg of CBD for my anxiety. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your review! I’m wondering if you still take PureKana and if so, do you get anxiety at all? I also researched and found PureKana at the top, however, for some odd reason it actually gives me a small amount of anxiety or gives me a sinking feeling in my stomach. I tried the Original oil 4 different times, 2x with the recommended 1/2 dropper, and other 2x with 1/4. I only take daily vitamins and nootropics (Bacopa, rhodiola, gotu kola, l-theanime, and that I’ve taken for years without any anxious effects. I’m wondering if anyone else felt anxiety from the oil?

No I have not taken Purekana since the review. But while taking it, I haven’t experienced the added anxiety you were talking about. It actually reduced my anxiety. What is the milligram strength of the bottle you bought?
